Cricket that rocks! That's the exciting game of Twenty20 cricket which was originally introduced in the UK in 2003. It takes the form of a single innings cricket game in which each team bats for a maximum of only 20 overs. The game is completed in around three hours, with each innings lasting around 75 minutes, a duration very popular with spectators as well as television.
India and South Africa are the latest international heavyweights to do battle in T20 format, in a three match series in India. South Africa however have enjoyed themselves on the tour winning both of the fixtures so far. The visitors won the first test by seven wickets before sealing the series with a six wicket victory on Monday. That match had to be stopped twice as Indian fans threw bottles onto the pitch as they saw their team bowled out for just 92. India are 5/6 with Boylesports to restore some pride with a win in Kolkata with South Africa 6/5 with Ladbrokes to make it a 3-0 series whitewash.
NatWest T20 Betting
The NatWest T20 competition is the English domestic Twenty20 tournament and although it doesn’t match up to the Indian Premier League and the Aussie Big Bash in terms of superstar performers and glitz and glamour, it is still a thrilling competition. The competition is the successor to the FriendsLife T20 league.
The tournament sees the 18 county sides split into two divisions, the north and south each containing nine teams. Each club plays six other teams in their division twice and the other teams only once. The top four placed teams from each division then go into the knockout phase of the semi-finals and final.
The defending champions are Lancashire Lightning who over came the Northamptonshire Steelbacks by 13 runs in the 2015 final.
An explosive recipe of Twenty20 cricket:
Many games include fun entertainment for the spectators such as paddling pools, bouncing castles, catching competitions, themed areas, and fantastic prizes. On Finals Day, major pop acts usually perform for the crowds. Atomic Kitten, Liberty X and Girls Aloud have performed in the past and the Sugababes performed on Finals Day at Trent Bridge in 2006.
A RAPID GROWTH IN POPULARITY
Twenty20 does not replace other forms of cricket in the county structure however, and the game is now played by all the test-playing countries around the world with many international matches having taken place. This growth has shown an understandable rise in cricket betting.
